ESA Sentinel-2 satellite analysis for vineyards — any climate zone, any hemisphere. Multi-index stress mapping across your entire estate. Delivered as an actionable field report within 48 hours of image acquisition.
We combine Sentinel-2 satellite imagery with agronomic threshold calibration to identify precisely where and when your vineyard needs attention.
European Space Agency Copernicus imagery at 10 m resolution — openly licensed, globally available, every 5 days. Cloud-filtered and atmospherically corrected via Google Earth Engine. Covers every vineyard region on earth: Austria, Italy, France, Moldova, but equally New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Chile, and Argentina. Season timing adapts automatically to hemisphere — Northern or Southern.
Six spectral indices computed per block: NDVI (canopy density), NDRE (chlorophyll/nitrogen proxy), NDMI (leaf moisture), EVI (soil-corrected biomass), BSI (bare soil exposure), NDWI (water content verification).
We calibrate against your estate's own Sentinel-2 history — up to 8 years of archive data, publicly available at no cost. Each block is evaluated relative to itself, not against global averages. A Sangiovese block at altitude has structurally different NDVI values than one in the valley — percentile calibration accounts for this automatically. Known stress years (2003 heat, 2017 frost, 2022 drought) are identifiable directly in the archive — no yield records needed. All we need from you is your vineyard boundary polygon.
A prioritised report with spatial maps, trend analysis, disease risk assessment, irrigation decision support, and drone waypoints for targeted scouting. Delivered as PDF within 48 hours.
Spring 2026. Sentinel-2 multi-temporal analysis across a 39 ha estate. Varieties: Fetească Neagră, Rară Neagră, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Between May 16 and May 26, the satellite detected a simultaneous decline across four indices — NDVI (−0.056), EVI (−0.050), NDMI (−0.049), NDRE (−0.031) — coinciding precisely with the onset of flowering. A single-index decline could indicate normal anthesis effects. A four-index simultaneous decline during the highest-risk disease window of the season is an actionable stress signal.
The report identified 29 priority drone waypoints, quantified a 4× performance ratio between best and worst blocks (NDVI 0.181–0.716), and triggered an immediate irrigation decision assessment based on NDMI trending toward the coulure risk threshold.
"The report provided a level of spatial detail and index interpretation we had not seen from satellite analysis before. The multi-index approach caught patterns we would have only discovered during field scouting." — Director of R&D, undisclosed estate · 2026
Botrytis cinerea during flowering can reduce yields by 20–60% in severe years. Enter your estate parameters to see your exposure — in your own numbers.
All packages include full multi-index analysis, spatial maps, and actionable field recommendations. No lock-in contracts.
Sentinel-2 identifies stress zones at 10 m resolution. A multispectral drone at 3–10 cm GSD resolves individual vine rows. Maply bridges both worlds — from training your team to delivering flight-ready data and hardware solutions, anywhere in the world.
Most reports show one index. We compute six simultaneously. A stress event confirmed by NDVI, NDRE, NDMI, and EVI together is not a false alarm — it is a field emergency.
We need one thing from you: your vineyard boundary polygon. No yield records, no historical harvest data, no agronomic logs. Calibration runs entirely on the public Sentinel-2 archive — 8 years of your estate's own satellite history, already available.
We are geospatial engineers, not agronomists. We identify where stress exists and how severe it is. Field decisions stay with your team and your crop protection advisor.
Every report includes prioritised waypoints for UAV inspection. We tell your drone where to fly — you collect the row-level detail Sentinel-2 cannot resolve.
Share a shapefile, KML, or a Google Maps polygon of your estate. We'll run a current-season NDVI analysis and send you a summary — no commitment, no invoice.
